Spock is taken from the end of Star Trek (2009) and played in accordance to movie canon with possible allusions to the original series and current IDW comics. He is a Vulcan/human hybrid and serving as the First Officer and Chief Science Officer of the USS Enterprise - Starfleet's flagship. As the first Vulcan to turn down an acceptance to the Vulcan Science Academy and enroll in Starfleet's Academy, Spock has been at odds with his origins for his entire life thus far and it's only recently that he has come to accept his human attributes as well as his Vulcan.
He does not make friends easily, but camaraderie does serve its logical purpose.
